As the winter seasons approach the idea of cosy knits, hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and going to Christmas markets may spring to mind. But try not to stress, here are some tips for you to try to keep yours at bay.

They are proven to improve your mental health as any type of movement releases endorphins within your body which ultimately makes your mood lift, as they reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety. Walking also increases the oxygen that flows through the body, giving you more energy to of fun things so wrap up warm, put on your scarf, grab your headphones and step out of the door.
Number 2. Embrace the power of vitamin D:
There are many ways for you to get some vitamin D this winter, even though the sun may not be shining. Many lightbulbs give you artificial light, you could sit in your garden and try and get some of the sun, but you may get a little cold, so it may be best to create your sunshine. Invest in some happy lamps or light therapy boxes, amazon have some that are highly rated and will only cost you around £30! Treat yourself to one and soak up the mood-boosting artificial sunlight!
Number 3. Adopt a plant friend.
Channel in on your nurturing instincts by becoming a plant parent. Surround yourself either greenery and embrace the joys (and occasional woes) of plant care. Bonus! if you feel super low talk to your plants their great listeners.
Number 4. Journal, journal, Journal!
Regular journaling enhances emotional regulation tracks your personal growth over time and stimulates creativity by encouraging the exploration of new ideas. This practice also promotes mindfulness, gratitude and improved communication skills while serving as a personal achievement of memories and insights.
